Aisha Mahal is a final year undergraduate at the University of Sheffield, studying Politics and International Relations. She has a keen interest in Gender, Security, Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law and more, having spent the majority of her undergraduate degree building up expertise on these topics.

With published essays on the topics of gendered education inequality, the failure of 'security' to protect women and the impact of climate change upon children, Aisha is taking up a position of Human Rights Research analyst to continue with work. Her interests lie specifically in South East Asia and the Middle East, with a specific focus on sexual violence, securitisation and education policy. To pursue these areas of interest, Aisha has been involved in various charities, such as Irise International, alongside research work in Vietnam and Jordan.
